أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي بَيَاضَةَ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ اعْتَكَفَ الْعَشْرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ وَقَالَ «إِنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ إِذَا كَانَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَإِنَّمَا يُنَاجِي رَبَّهُ فَلَا تَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَكُمْ بِالْقُرْآنِ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ خَالَفَهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ فَرَوَاهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ observed i'tikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan and said, "When one of you is in prayer, he is conversing with his Lord, so do not raise your voices with the recitation of the Quran." Abu 'Abdur-Rahman differed with him, and Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated it from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim, from Abu Hazim.
