✧ What should the fasting person say when they are ignorant?

أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ رُومَانَ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «الصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ مِنَ النَّارِ فَمَنْ أَصْبَحَ صَائِمًا فَلَا يَجْهَلْ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَإِنْ جَهِلَ عَلَيْهِ فَلَا يَشْتُمْهُ وَلَا يَسُبَّهُ وَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدِ اللهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ»
Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said: "Fasting is a shield from the Fire. Whoever begins the day fasting should not act ignorantly that day. If someone is ignorant towards him, he should not insult him or curse him, but let him say: 'I am fasting.' By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the smell from the mouth of a fasting person is better with Allah than the scent of musk."
