✧ The exclusion of prayer

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَصَابَ مِنَ امْرَأَةٍ قُبْلَةً فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا تَوْبَتِي فَنَزَلَتْ {وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ طَرَفَيِ النَّهَارِ وَزُلَفًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ} [هود 114] تَلَا الْآيَةَ فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ هِيَ لِي؟ قَالَ «هِيَ لِمَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا مِنْ أُمَّتِي»

✧ A man kissed a woman and came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, “What is my repentance?” Then {And establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approaches of the night} [Hūd: 114] was revealed. He recited the verse, and the man said, “Is it for me?” He said, “It is for whoever acts upon it among my community.”
