أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَنْصُورٌ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ مَنْ أَصْبَحَ جُنُبًا فَلَا صَوْمَ لَهُ فَأَرْسَلَ مَرْوَانُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ يَسْأَلُهَا فَقَالَ لَهَا إِنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ مَنْ أَصْبَحَ جُنُبًا فَلَا صَوْمَ لَهُ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ قَدْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُجْنِبُ ثُمَّ يُتِمُّ صَوْمَهُ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فَأَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «كَانَ يُجْنِبُ ثُمَّ يُتِمُّ صَوْمَهُ» فَكَفَّ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ

✧ Abu Hurairah said: Whoever begins the morning in a state of major ritual impurity has no fast. So Marwan sent Abd al-Rahman to A'ishah to ask her. He said to her: Abu Hurairah says: Whoever begins the morning in a state of major ritual impurity has no fast. A'ishah said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to become in a state of major ritual impurity, then he would complete his fast. So he sent to Abu Hurairah and informed him that A'ishah said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to become in a state of major ritual impurity, then he would complete his fast. So Abu Hurairah desisted.
