أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرٍو عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ جَعْدَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو الْقَارِيَّ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ لَا وَرَبِّ هَذَا الْبَيْتِ مَا أَنَا قُلْتُ مَنْ أَدْرَكَهُ الصُّبْحُ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ فَلَا يَصُمْ مُحَمَّدٌ وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ قَالَهُ

✧ I heard Abu Hurayrah say, “No, by the Lord of this House, it was not I who said, ‘Whoever enters upon the morning in a state of major ritual impurity must not fast.’ Muhammad, by the Lord of the Ka‘bah, said it.”
