أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرَانُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ مَسْعُودِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ الزُّرَقِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمِّي قَالَتْ

لَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عَلَى بَغْلَةِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ الْبَيْضَاءِ حِينَ قَامَ عَلَى شِعْبِ الْأَنْصَارِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ أَيَّامَ صِيَامٍ إِنَّهَا أَيَّامُ أَكْلٍ وَشُرْبٍ»

✧ It is as if I am looking at 'Ali b. Abi Talib on the white mule of the Prophet ﷺ when he stood at the mountain pass of the Ansar, saying: "O assembly of Muslims, the Prophet ﷺ says: 'They are not days of fasting; they are days of eating and drinking.'"
