✧ The fasting of the Day of Arafah and the virtue in it, and the mention of the differences among the narrators of the hadith of Abu Qatadah regarding it.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَلِيلِ عَنْ أَبِي حَرْمَلَةَ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «صَوْمُ عَاشُورَاءَ كَفَّارَةُ سَنَةٍ وَصَوْمُ عَرَفَةَ كَفَّارَةُ سَنَتَيْنِ مَاضِيَةٍ وَمُسْتَقْبَلَةٍ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ «الْحَسَنُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ لَيْسَ عِنْدَنَا بِالْقَوِيِّ فِي الْحَدِيثِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Fasting Ashura is an expiation for one year, and fasting Arafah is an expiation for two years, past and future." Abu Abd al-Rahman said: "Al-Hasan b. Bishr is not considered strong in hadith in our view."
