✧ The fasting of the Day of Arafah and the virtue in it, and the mention of the differences among the narrators of the hadith of Abu Qatadah regarding it.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُصَفَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَلِيلِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «صَوْمُ عَرَفَةَ كَفَّارَةُ سَنَتَيْنِ سَنَةٍ مَاضِيَةٍ وَسَنَةٍ مُسْتَقْبِلَةٍ وَصَوْمُ عَاشُورَاءَ كَفَّارَةُ سَنَةٍ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Fasting Arafah is an expiation for two years, a past year and a future year, and fasting Ashura is an expiation for one year."
