أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَيَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَاللَّفْظُ لِيَعْقُوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ أَتَيْنَا جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ فَسَأَلْنَاهُ

عَنْ حَجَّةِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَحَدَّثَنَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ خَرَجَ لِخَمْسٍ بَقِينَ مِنْ ذِي الْقَعْدَةِ وَخَرَجْنَا مَعَهُ حَتَّى أَتَى ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَلَدَتْ أَسْمَاءُ بِنْتُ عُمَيْسٍ بِمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ؟ قَالَ «اغْتَسِلِي وَاسْتَثْفِرِي ثُمَّ أَهِلِّي»

✧ About the Farewell Pilgrimage of the Prophet ﷺ: He informed us that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out when five days remained of Dhul-Qa'dah, and we set out with him until he came to Dhul-Hulayfah. Asma' bt. 'Umays gave birth to Muhammad b. Abi Bakr. She sent to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asking, "What should I do?" He said, "Take a bath, bind yourself with a cloth, and then enter ihram."
