أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ غَزِيَّةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَأَى نَاسًا مُجْتَمِعِينَ عَلَى رَجُلٍ فَسَأَلَ فَقَالُوا رَجُلٌ أَجْهَدَهُ الصَّوْمُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَيْسَ مِنَ الْبِرِّ الصِّيَامُ فِي السَّفَرِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw people gathered around a man, so he asked, and they said: A man whom fasting has exhausted. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Fasting while traveling is not part of righteousness.”
