al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Nasa'i) 2566

✧ The reward of he who fasts a day in the cause of Allah and mentions the differences regarding Suhail b. Abi Salih in the news at that time.

أَخْبَرَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ حَفْصٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ الضَّرِيرُ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ صَامَ يَوْمًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ بَاعَدَ اللهُ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ النَّارِ بِذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ سَبْعِينَ خَرِيفًا» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ هَذَا خَطَأٌ لَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا تَابَعَ أَبَا مُعَاوِيَةَ عَلَى هَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever fasts a day in the cause of Allah, Allah will distance between him and the Fire by that day seventy autumns." Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said: This is a mistake. We do not know of anyone who agreed with Abu Mu'awiyah on this chain.
