أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِشَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شَيْبَانَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ

حَدِّثْنِي عَنْ شَيْءٍ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ أبِيكَ سَمِعَهُ أَبُوكَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لَيْسَ بَيْنَ أَبِيكَ وَبَيْنَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَحَدٌ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ قَالَ نَعَمْ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ اللهَ فَرَضَ صِيَامَ رَمَضَانَ وَسَنَنْتُ لَكُمْ قِيَامَهُ فَمَنْ صَامَهُ وَقَامَهُ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا خَرَجَ مِنْ ذُنُوبِهِ كَيَوْمِ وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ»

✧ Narrate to me something you heard from your father, which your father heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, with no one between your father and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, regarding the month of Ramadan." He said, "Yes, my father narrated to me, saying: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Allah has made the fasting of Ramadan obligatory, and I have prescribed for you its night prayer. Whoever fasts it and prays it with faith and seeking reward will come out of his sins like the day his mother bore him.'"
