✧ The distinction between our fasting and the fasting of the People of the Book

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي قَيْسٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ فَصْلَ مَا بَيْنَ صِيَامِنَا وَصِيَامِ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ أَكْلَةُ السَّحَرِ»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The distinction between our fasting and the fasting of the People of the Book is the pre-dawn meal."
