أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ ضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ عَلَى الْأُخْرَى وَقَالَ «الشَّهْرُ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا» وَنَقَصَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ إصْبُعًا

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Isḥāq b. Ibrāhīm
  2. Muḥammad b. Bishr
  3. Ismāʿīl b. Abū Khālid
  4. Muḥammad b. Saʿd b. Abū Waqqāṣ from his father

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ that he struck one hand upon the other and said: 'The month is like this, and like this, and like this,' and he folded one finger in the third.
