أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ أَبِي صَغِيرَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ وَأَفْطِرُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ فَإِنْ حَالَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُ سَحَابٌ فَكَمِّلُوا الْعِدَّةَ وَلَا تَسْتَقْبِلُوا الشَّهْرَ اسْتِقْبَالًا»

✧ From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: "Fast upon sighting it, and break the fast upon sighting it. If clouds come between you and it, then complete the count, and do not receive the month prematurely."
