أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حِبَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «صُومُوا الْهِلَالَ لِرُؤْيَتِهِ وَأَفْطِرُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَأَكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ ثَلَاثِينَ»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Fast upon sighting it, and break the fast upon sighting it. If it is obscured from you, then complete the count as thirty."
