✧ The Beneficence and Generosity in the Month of Ramadan

أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ عَنِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ

أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ كَانَ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَجْوَدَ النَّاسِ وَكَانَ أَجْوَدَ مَا يَكُونُ فِي رَمَضَانَ حِينَ يَلْقَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ وَكَانَ جِبْرِيلُ يَلْقَاهُ فِي كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فَيُدَارِسُهُ الْقُرْآنَ قَالَ فَلَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ يَلْقَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ «أَجْوَدُ مِنَ الرِّيحِ الْمُرْسَلَةِ»

✧ Abd Allah b. Abbas used to say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was the most generous of people, and he was most generous in Ramadan when Jibril would meet him. Jibril would meet him every night of Ramadan and study the Quran with him. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when Jibril met him, was 'more generous than the wind sent forth.'
