أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَيْلِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عمرو عَنْ ابْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ عَنْ أَخِيهِ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَسْأَلُنِي الشَّيْءَ فَأَمْنَعُهُ كَي تَشْفَعُوا فَتُؤْجَرُوا وَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ اشْفَعُوا تُؤْجَرُوا

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "A man asks me for something and I withhold it so that you may intercede and be rewarded." And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ also said: "Intercede, and you will be rewarded."
