✧ The obligation of Ramadan's Zakat on slaves

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

«فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَدَقَةَ الْفِطْرِ عَلَى الذَّكَرِ وَالْأُنْثَى وَالْحُرِّ وَالْمَمْلُوكِ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ» قَالَ فَعَدَلَ النَّاسُ إِلَى نِصْفِ صَاعٍ بُرٍّ

Translation

✧ “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ made obligatory the charity of breaking the fast upon the male and the female, the free and the slave: a sa' of dates or a sa' of barley.” He said: “So the people shifted to half a sa' of wheat.”
