أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ آدَمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَقَفَ عَلَى قَلِيبِ بَدْرٍ فَقَالَ «هَلْ وَجَدْتُمْ مَا وَعَدَ رَبُّكُمْ حَقًّا؟» قَالَ «إِنَّهُمْ لَيَسْمَعُونَ الْآنَ مَا أَقُولُ فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِعَائِشَةَ» فَقَالَتْ وَهَلِ ابْنُ عُمَرَ إِنَّمَا قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِنَّهُمُ الْآنَ يَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ الَّذِي كُنْتُ أَقُولُ لَهُمْ هُوَ الْحَقُّ ثُمَّ قَرَأَتْ قَوْلَهُ {إِنَّكَ لَا تُسْمِعُ الْمَوْتَى} [النمل 80] حَتَّى قَرَأَتِ الْآيَةَ
Translation

✧ That the Prophet ﷺ stood over the well of Badr and said, 'Have you found what your Lord promised you to be true?' He said, 'They now hear what I say.' That was mentioned to 'A'ishah, and she said, 'Ibn 'Umar is mistaken. The Prophet ﷺ only said, 'They now know that what I used to say to them is the truth.' Then she recited His saying: {Indeed, you cannot make the dead hear} [an-Naml 80] until she completed the verse.
