✧ The souls of the believers

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ كَعْبَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ كَانَ يُحَدِّثُ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّمَا نَسَمَةُ الْمُؤْمِنِ طَائِرٌ يَعْلُقُ فِي شَجَرِ الْجَنَّةِ حَتَّى يُرْجِعَهُ اللهُ إِلَى جَسَدِهِ يَوْمَ يَبْعَثُهُ»

Translation

✧ On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: He said, "The soul of the believer is a bird that hangs on the trees of Paradise until Allah returns it to his body on the day He resurrects him."
