✧ The rows at the funeral

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْكُوفِيُّ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ أَخَاكُمُ النَّجَاشِيَّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَقُومُوا فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَامَ فَصَفَّ بِنَا كَمَا يُصَفُّ عَلَى الْجِنَازَةِ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ»

Translation

Chain of narrators

  4. ʿAṭāʾ
  5. Jābir

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Your brother the Negus has died, so stand and pray over him." He stood and formed us in rows as rows are formed for a funeral, then prayed over him.
