أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاودَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ صَالِحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ وَابْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ أَخْبَرَهُمَا

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَعَى لَهُمُ النَّجَاشِيَّ صَاحِبَ الْحَبَشَةِ الْيَوْمَ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ وَقَالَ «اسْتَغْفِرُوا لِأَخِيكُمُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ announced to them the death of the Negus, the ruler of Abyssinia, on the day he died, and said, "Seek forgiveness for your brother."
