أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «نَعَى زَيْدًا وَجَعْفَرًا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَجِيءَ خَبَرُهُمْ نَعَاهُمْ وَعَيْنَاهُ تَذْرِفَانِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ announced the death of Zayd and Ja'far before news of them came. He announced their death while his eyes were shedding tears.
