أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو حَفْصٍ عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ خَوَّاتٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ فِي صَلَاةِ الْخَوْفِ قَالَ

«يَقُومُ الْإِمَامُ مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْقِبْلَةِ فَتَقُومُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْهُمْ مَعَهُ وَطَائِفَةٌ قِبَلَ الْعَدُوِّ وَوجُوهُهُمْ إِلَى الْعَدُوِّ يَرْكَعُ بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً وَيَرْكَعُونَ لِأَنْفُسِهِمْ وَيَسْجُدُونَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ فِي مَكَانِهِمْ وَيَذْهَبُونَ إِلَى مَقَامِ أُولَئِكَ وَيَجِيءُ أُولَئِكَ فَيَرْكَعُ بِهِمْ وَيَسْجُدُ بِهِمْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ فَهِيَ لَهُ ثِنْتَانِ وَلَهُمْ وَاحِدَةٌ ثُمَّ يَرْكَعُونَ رَكْعَةً رَكْعَةً وَيَسْجُدُونَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ»

Translation

✧ The imam stands facing the qiblah, and a group of them stands with him while another group faces the enemy, their faces toward the enemy. He bows one rakʿah with them, and they bow for themselves and prostrate twice in their place. Then they go to the place of those others, and those others come. He bows with them and prostrates with them twice. Thus he has two, and they have one. Then they bow one rakʿah each and prostrate twice."
