✧ The Prayer of Fear.

أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْمِقْسَمِيُّ عَنْ حَجَّاجِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ الْفَقِيرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى بِهِمْ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ فَقَامَ صَفٌّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَصَفٌّ خَلْفَهُ صَلَّى بِالَّذِينَ خَلْفَهُ رَكْعَةً وَسَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ تَقَدَّمَ هَؤُلَاءِ حَتَّى قَامُوا فِي مَقَامِ أَصْحَابِهِمْ وَجَاءَ أُولَئِكَ فَقَامُوا مَقَامَ هَؤُلَاءِ صَلَّى لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَكْعَةً وَسَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ فَكَانَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ رَكْعَتَانِ وَلَهُمْ رَكْعَةٌ»

✧ That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led them in the fear prayer. A row stood before him and a row behind him. He prayed one rakʿah and two prostrations with those behind him. Then those came forward until they stood in the place of their companions, and those others came and stood in the place of these. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed one rakʿah and two prostrations for them, then he said the salam. Thus the Prophet ﷺ had two rakʿahs and they had one.
