أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَشْعَثُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ زَهْدَمٍ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ بِطَبَرِسْتَانَ فَقَالَ
أَيُّكُمْ صَلَّى مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ؟ فَقَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ أَنَا فَقَامَ حُذَيْفَةُ وَصَفَّ النَّاسَ خَلْفَهُ صَفَّيْنِ صَفًّا خَلْفَهُ وَصَفًّا مُوَازِيَ الْعَدُوِّ فَصَلَّى بِالَّذِينَ خَلْفَهُ رَكْعَةً وَانْصَرَفَ هَؤُلَاءِ إِلَى مَكَانِ هَؤُلَاءِ وَجَاءَ أُولَئِكَ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً وَلَمْ يَقْضُوا 1932 أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الرَّكِينِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِثْلَ صَلَاةِ حُذَيْفَةَ

✧ He said: “Which of you prayed the prayer of fear with the Messenger of God ﷺ?” Hudhayfah said: “I did.” Hudhayfah stood and lined the people behind him in two rows: a row behind him and a row facing the enemy. He prayed one rakʿah with those behind him, then these withdrew to the place of those, and those came, and he prayed one rakʿah with them, and they did not make up (anything). 1932 ʿAmr b. ʿAlī informed us; he said: Yaḥyā narrated to us; he said: Sufyān narrated to us; he said: al-Rakīn b. al-Rabīʿ narrated to me, from al-Qāsim b. Ḥassān, from Zayd b. Thābit, from the Prophet ﷺ, the like of the prayer of Hudhayfah.
