✧ The saying when it rains

أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّيْمِيُّ قَاضِي الْبَصْرَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا رَأَى نَاشِئًا فِي أُفُقٍ مِنْ آفَاقِ السَّمَاءِ تَرَكَ عَمَلُهُ وَإِنْ كَانَ فِي صَلَاةٍ فَإِنْ كَشَفَهُ اللهُ حَمِدَ اللهَ وَإِنْ أَمْطَرَتْ قَالَ «اللهُمَّ سَيْبًا نَافِعًا»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ, when he saw clouds forming in any horizon of the sky, would leave his work, even if he was in prayer. If God dispersed it, he praised God; and if it rained, he said: “O God, a beneficial downpour.”
