أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا وَعِنْدَهَا جَارِيَتَانِ تَضْرِبَانِ بِدُفَّيْنِ فَانْتَهَرَهُمَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «دَعْهُنَّ فَإِنَّ لِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ عِيدًا»

✧ That the Prophet ﷺ entered upon her while she had two young girls beating two duffs, and Abū Bakr scolded them, so the Prophet ﷺ said: “Leave them, for every people has an Eid.”
