أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ سَوَّادِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَنَّ أَبَا الزُّبَيْرِ
أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِذَا خَطَبَ يَسْتَنِدُ إِلَى جِذْعِ نَخْلَةٍ مِنْ سَوَارِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَلَمَّا صُنِعَ لَهُ الْمِنْبَرُ فَاسْتَوَى عَلَيْهِ اضْطَرَبَتْ تِلْكَ السَّارِيَةُ كَحَنِينِ النَّاقَةِ حَتَّى سَمِعَهَا أَهْلُ الْمَسْجِدِ حَتَّى نَزَلَ إِلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَاعْتَنَقَهَا فَسَكَنَتْ»

✧ He informed him that he heard Jabir b. Abdullah say: The Prophet ﷺ, when he delivered the sermon, used to lean against a palm trunk among the pillars of the mosque. When the pulpit was made for him and he stood on it, that pillar shook like the yearning of a she-camel, until the people of the mosque heard it, until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ descended to it and embraced it, and it became still.
