أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ صَالِحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبَّادُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
تَخَلَّفْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ «فَبَرَزَ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَيَّ وَمَعِي الْإِدَاوَةُ فَصَبَبْتُ عَلَى يَدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَضُوءَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ اسْتَنْثَرَ وَمَضْمَضَ وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ثُمَّ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَغْسِلَ يَدَيْهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُخْرِجَهُمَا مِنْ كُمَّيْ جُبَّتِهِ فَضَاقَ عَلَيْهِ كُمَّاهَا فَأَخْرَجَ يَدَيْهِ مِنْ تَحْتِ الْجُبَّةِ فَغَسَلَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ وَيَدَهُ الْيُسْرَى ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ وَمَسَحَ بِخُفَّيْهِ وَلَمْ يَنْزِعْهُمَا»

✧ I stayed behind with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the campaign of Tabuk. “He went aside to relieve himself, then came back to me, and I had the water skin. So I poured water over the hand of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for the ablution of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Then he blew his nose and rinsed his mouth and washed his face three times. Then he wanted to wash his hands before taking them out of the sleeves of his jubbah, but the sleeves were too tight for him, so he took his hands out from under the jubbah and washed his right hand three times and his left hand three times, and he wiped over his leather socks and did not remove them.”
