أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ أَبِي أَنَسٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نَافِعِ بْنِ الْعَمْيَاءِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الصَّلَاةُ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى وَتَشَهَّدُ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَتَبَأَّسُ وَتَمَسْكَنُ وَتُقْنِعُ يَدَيْكَ وَتَقُولُ «اللهُمَّ اللهُمَّ فَمَنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ فَهِي خِدَاجٌ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ غَيْرَ اللَّيْثِ وَشُعْبَةَ عَلَى اخْتِلَافِهِمَا فِيهِ

✧ From the Messenger of God ﷺ, he said: “The prayer is two by two. You perform the tashahhud in every two rakʿahs, and you show humility, show neediness, raise your hands, and say: ‘O God, O God.’ Whoever does not do that, then it is deficient.” Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān said: We do not know anyone who narrated this hadith other than al-Layth and Shuʿbah, despite their disagreement in it.
