✧ The virtue of the seated person's prayer over the sleeping one

أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ حَبِيبٍ عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ذَكْوَانَ الْمُعَلِّمِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ الَّذِي يُصَلِّي قَاعِدًا فَقَالَ «مَنْ صَلَّى قَائِمًا فَهُوَ أَفْضَلُ وَمَنْ صَلَّى قَاعِدًا لَهُ نِصْفُ أَجْرِ الْقَائِمِ وَمَنْ صَلَّى نَائِمًا فَلَهُ نِصْفُ أَجْرِ الْقَاعِدِ»

✧ I asked the Prophet ﷺ about the one who prays seated. He said, 'Whoever prays standing is better, and whoever prays seated has half the reward of the one standing, and whoever prays lying down has half the reward of the one seated.'
