أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَتَّابٌ عَنْ خُصَيْفٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ وَمُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
جَاءَ الْفُقَرَاءُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ الْأَغْنِيَاءَ يُصَلُّونَ كَمَا نُصَلِّي وَيَصُومُونَ كَمَا نَصُومُ وَلَهُمْ أَمْوَالٌ يَتَصَدَّقُونَ بِهَا وَيُعْتِقُونَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا صَلَّيْتُمْ فَقُولُوا سُبْحَانَ اللهِ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ أَرْبَعًا وَثَلَاثِينَ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ عَشْرًا فَإِنَّكُمْ تُدْرِكُونَ بِذَلِكَ مَنْ سَبَقَكُمْ وَتَسْبِقُونَ مَنْ بَعْدَكُمْ
Translation

✧ The poor came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: "O Messenger of Allah, the wealthy pray as we pray, fast as we fast, and they have wealth with which they give charity and free slaves." The Prophet ﷺ said: "When you have prayed, say: 'Glory be to Allah' thirty-three times, 'Praise be to Allah' thirty-three times, 'Allah is greatest' thirty-four times, and 'There is no god but Allah' ten times. With that you will catch up with those who preceded you and surpass those who come after you."
