أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَدْعُو فِي الصَّلَاةِ «اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْمَأْثَمِ وَالْمَغْرَمِ» فَقَالَ قَائِلٌ مَا أَكْثَرَ مَا تَسْتَعِيذُ مِنَ الْمَغْرَم فَقَالَ «إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ إِذَا غَرِمَ حَدَّثَ فَكَذَبَ وَوَعَدَ فَأَخْلَفَ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to supplicate in the prayer: “O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of the false messiah, and I seek refuge in You from the trials of life and death. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from sin and debt.” Someone said, “How often you seek refuge from debt!” He said, “When a man becomes indebted, he speaks and lies, and he promises and breaks his promise.”
