أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْبَصْرِيُّ أَبُو بُرَيْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ يَعْنِي الْمُعَلِّمَ عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ حَدَّثَنِي حَنْظَلَةُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ أَنَّ مِحْجَنَ بْنَ الْأَدْرَعِ حَدَّثَهُ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ إِذَا رَجُلٌ قَدْ صَلَّى وَهُوَ يَتَشَهَّدُ فَقَالَ اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكُ يَا اللهُ الْوَاحِدُ الْأَحَدُ الصَّمَدُ الَّذِي لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ أَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي ذُنُوبِي إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «قَدْ غُفِرَ لَهُ» ثَلَاثًا

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the mosque when a man had prayed and was in the tashahhud, saying: “O Allah, I ask You, O Allah, the One, the Unique, the Self-Sufficient, who neither begets nor is born, and there is none equal to Him, to forgive me my sins. Indeed You are the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said three times: “He has been forgiven.”
