أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ قَالَ
رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ وَإِذَا رَكَعَ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ وَإِذَا جَلَسَ أَضْجَعَ الْيُسْرَى وَنَصَبَ الْيُمْنَى وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُسْرَى وَيَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى وَعَقَدَ ثِنْتَيْنِ الْوُسْطَى وَالْإِبْهَامُ وَأَشَارَ بِالسَّبَّابَةِ

✧ I saw the Prophet ﷺ raise his hands when he commenced the prayer, when he bowed, when he raised his head from bowing, and when he sat he laid down his left foot and set up his right, placed his left hand on his left thigh and his right hand on his right thigh, and he made a ring with the middle finger and thumb and pointed with the forefinger.
