عَنْ قُتَيْبَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ وَعَبْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ زِرٍّ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أُبَيَّ بْنَ كَعْبٍ عَنِ الْمُعَوِّذَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ: «قِيلَ لِي، فَقُلْتُ۔» فَنَحْنُ نَقُولُ كَمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ۔

✧ I asked Ubayy b. Ka'b about the two protective surahs. He said: I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said: "It was said to me, and I said." So we say as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said.
