أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِأُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ حِينَ نَزَلَتْ {لَمْ يَكُنِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا} [البينة 1] إِنَّ اللهَ أَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَقْرَأَ عَلَيْكَ لَمْ يَكُنِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا قَالَ وَسَمَّانِي لَكَ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» فَبَكَى

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Ubayy b. Ka'b when {Those who disbelieve were not} [Al-Bayyinah 1] was revealed: "Allah commanded me to recite to you: 'Those who disbelieve were not...'" He said: "And He named me to you?" He said: "Yes." So he wept.
