أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ
فِي قَوْلِهِ {زَمْهَرِيرًا} [الإنسان 13] قَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ اشْتَكَتِ النَّارُ إِلَى رَبِّهَا فَقَالَتْ رَبِّ أَكَلَ بَعْضِي بَعْضًا فَنَفِّسْنِي فَأَذِنَ لَهَا كُلَّ عَامٍ بِنَفَسَيْنِ قَالَ «أَشَدُّ مَا تَجِدُونَ مِنَ الْبَرْدِ مِنْ زَمْهَرِيرِ جَهَنَّمَ وَأَشَدُّ مَا تَجِدُونَ مِنَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ حَرِّ جَهَنَّمَ»

✧ Concerning His saying: {bitter cold} [al-Insan 13], Abu Salamah b. Abd al-Rahman reported from Abu Hurayrah from the Prophet ﷺ: 'The Fire complained to its Lord and said: My Lord, parts of me have consumed other parts, so grant me relief. So He permitted it two breaths each year.' He said: 'The most severe cold you find is from the bitter cold of Hell, and the most severe heat you find is from the heat of Hell.'
