أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ ثَوْرٍ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
قَالَ النَّاسُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَلْ نَرَى رَبَّنَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «هَلْ تُضَارُّونَ فِي الشَّمْسِ لَيْسَ دُونَهَا سَحَابٌ؟» قَالُوا لَا قَالَ «هَلْ تُضَارُّونَ فِي الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ لَيْسَ دُونَهُ سَحَابٌ؟» قَالُوا لَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ «فَإِنَّكُمْ تَرَوْنَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَذَلِكَ»

✧ The people said: 'O Messenger of Allah, will we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection?' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun when there is no cloud beneath it?' They said: 'No.' He said: 'Do you have any difficulty in seeing the moon on the night of the full moon when there is no cloud beneath it?' They said: 'No, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'Then you will see Him on the Day of Resurrection likewise.'
