أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ ثَوْرٍ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سُهَيْلٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ لَا يُؤَدِّي زَكَاةَ مَالِهِ إِلَّا جُعِلَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ شُجَاعًا مِنْ نَارٍ فَيُكْوَى بِهَا جَبْهَتُهُ وَجَبِينُهُ وَظَهْرُهُ {فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ} [المعارج 4] حَتَّى يُقْضَى بَيْنَ النَّاسِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “There is no man who does not pay the zakāh of his wealth except that on the Day of Resurrection it will be made a bald-headed serpent of fire, and his forehead, his temple, and his back will be branded with it {on a day whose measure is fifty thousand years} [al-Maʿārij 4] until judgment is passed among the people.”
