أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَتَزْعُمُ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ يَأْكُلُونَ وَيَشْرَبُونَ؟ قَالَ «إِي وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ مِنْهُمْ لَيُعْطَى قُوَّةَ مِائَةِ رَجُلٍ فِي الْأَكْلِ وَالشَّرْبِ وَالْجِمَاعِ وَالشَّهْوَةِ» فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ فَإِنَّ الَّذِي يَأْكُلُ وَيَشْرَبُ تَكُونُ لَهُ الْحَاجَةُ وَلَيْسَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَذًى؟ فَقَالَ لَهُ ﷺ «حَاجَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ رَشْحٌ يَفِيضُ مِنْ جِلْدِهِ فَإِذَا بَطْنُهُ قَدْ ضَمُرَ»

✧ A man from the Jews came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: “Do you claim that the people of Paradise eat and drink?” He said: “Yes, by the One in whose hand is my soul. Indeed, one man among them will be given the strength of a hundred men in eating, drinking, intercourse, and desire.” The man said: “But the one who eats and drinks has a need, and there is no harm in Paradise?” The Prophet ﷺ said to him: “The need of one of them is a perspiration that flows from his skin, and then his stomach becomes empty.”
