أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللهِ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ وَلَكِنَّ اللهَ يُخَوِّفُ بِهِمَا عِبَادَهُ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ خَالَفَهُ قَتَادَةُ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse for the death or life of anyone, but Allah frightens His servants with them.” Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān said: Qatādah differed from him.
