أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ بْنِ مُسَاوِرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ مَرْوَانَ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ قَالَتْ

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَصُومُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ مَا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُفْطِرَ وَيُفْطِرُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ مَا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَصُومَ وَكَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ بِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَالزُّمَرَ»

Translation

✧ “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to fast until we would say, ‘He does not intend to break his fast,’ and he would not fast until we would say, ‘He does not intend to fast.’ And every night he would recite Bani Isra'il and al-Zumar.”
