أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ حَدَّثَنَا بَشَّارُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

فِي قَوْلِهِ {§بِالْعَذَابِ إِذَا هُمْ يَجْأَرُونَ لَا تَجْأَرُوا الْيَوْمَ إِنَّكُمْ مِنَّا لَا تُنْصَرُونَ} [المؤمنون 65] قَالَ «هُمْ أَهْلُ بَدْرٍ» قَالَ حَمْزَةُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الْإِمَامِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ بِإِسْنَادِهِ مِثْلَهُ

Translation

  4. ʿAbdullāh b. al-Mubārak
  5. Mūsá b. ʿUqbah
  6. ʿIkrimah

✧ In his saying, "In the punishment, when they cry for help, do not cry for help today. Indeed, you will not be helped by us" [Al-Muminoon 65], he said, "They are the people of Badr." Hamza bin Muhammad said, Muhammad bin Ja'far bin Imam told us, Ali bin Madini told me with a similar chain of narration.
