أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ أَنْبَأَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ سَلَامٍ أَنَّ أَخَاهُ زَيْدَ بْنَ سَلَامٍ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَامٍ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي الْحَارِثُ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ دَعَا بِدَعْوَى الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَإِنَّهُ مِنْ جُثَا جَهَنَّمَ» قَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَإِنْ صَامَ وَصَلَّى؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ وَإِنْ صَامَ وَصَلَّى فَادْعُوا بِدَعْوَى اللهِ الَّتِي سَمَّاكُمُ اللهُ بِهَا الْمُسْلِمِينَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عِبَادَ اللهِ»

✧ From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: “Whoever calls with the call of Jāhiliyyah is one of the gathered of Hellfire.” A man said: “O Messenger of Allah, even if he fasts and prays?” He said: “Yes, even if he fasts and prays. So call with the call of Allah, with which Allah named you: the Muslims, the believers, the servants of Allah.”
