أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى {أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ بَدَّلُوا نِعْمَةَ اللهِ كُفْرًا وَأَحَلُّوا قَوْمَهُمْ دَارَ الْبَوَارِ} [إبراهيم 28] قَالَ «§هُمْ أَهْلُ مَكَّةَ» قَالَ سُفْيَانُ يَعْنِي كُفَّارَهُمْ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Qutaybah b. Saʿīd
  2. Sufyān
  3. ʿAmr b. Dīnār
  4. ʿAṭāʾ

✧ Regarding His saying, exalted is He: {Have you not seen those who exchanged the favor of Allah with disbelief and led their people to the home of ruin?} [Ibrāhīm: 28]. He said: ‘§They are the people of Makkah.’ Sufyān said: ‘Meaning their disbelievers.’”
