أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ {حَتَّى إِذَا اسْتَيْأَسَ الرُّسُلُ وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُمْ قَدْ كُذِبُوا} [يوسف 110] قَالَ ذَهَبَ هَاهُنَا وَأَشَارَ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ قَالَ

ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ وَتَلَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ {حَتَّى يَقُولَ الرَّسُولُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ مَتَى نَصْرُ اللهِ أَلَا إِنَّ نَصْرَ اللهِ قَرِيبٌ} [البقرة 214] قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ فَذَكَرْتُ لِعُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ مَعَاذَ اللهِ وَاللهِ مَا حَدَّثَ اللهُ تَعَالَى رَسُولَهُ ﷺ شَيْئًا إِلَّا عَلِمَ أَنَّهُ سَيَكُونُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَمُوتَ وَلَكِنْ نَزَلَ بِالْأَنْبِيَاءِ الْبَلَاءُ حَتَّى خَافُوا أَنْ يَكُونَ مَنْ مَعَهُمْ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَدْ كَذَّبُوهُمْ وَكَانَتْ تَقْرَأُ {كُذِّبُوا} [آل عمران 11] مُثْقَلَةً

✧ Ibn Abi Mulaykah: Ibn 'Abbas recited: {Until the messenger and those who believed with him said: When is God's help? Indeed, God's help is near} [al-Baqarah 214]. Ibn Abi Mulaykah said: I mentioned that to 'Urwah b. al-Zubayr. He said: 'A'ishah said: I seek refuge in God! By God, God the Exalted did not tell His Messenger ﷺ anything but that He knew it would come to pass before he died. But tribulation came to the prophets until they feared that those with them of the believers might have belied them. She used to recite {kudhdhibu} [Al 'Imran 11] with a doubled consonant.
