✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The believers will gather on the Day of Resurrection and say: 'If only we could seek intercession with our Lord to relieve us from this place.' They will come to Adam ﷺ and say: 'You are the father of mankind; Allah created you with His hand, and He made the angels prostrate to you, so intercede for us with your Lord.' He will say: 'I am not the one for that,' and he will mention his sin which he committed, and he will be ashamed before Allah of that, 'but go to Nuh, for he is the first messenger Allah sent to the people of the earth.' They will call upon him, and he will say: 'I am not the one for that,' and he will mention his asking his Lord for what he had no knowledge of, and he will be ashamed of that, 'but go to Ibrahim, the intimate friend of the Most Merciful.' They will come to him, and he will say: 'I am not the one for that, but go to Musa, a servant to whom Allah spoke and gave the Torah.' They will come to him, and he will say: 'I am not the one for that,' and he will mention his killing a soul without a soul, 'but go to Isa, the servant of Allah and His messenger, and His word, and His spirit.' They will come to him, and he will say: 'I am not the one for that, but go to Muhammad ﷺ—and upon all the prophets of Allah—a servant whom Allah has forgiven his past and future sins.' He said: 'They will come to me, and I will set out.' Said said: He mentioned this phrase from al-Hasan: 'I will walk between two rows of believers.' Then he returned to the hadith of Anas: 'I will seek permission from my Lord, and He will grant me permission. When I see Him, I will fall down in prostration, and He will leave me as long as Allah wills to leave me. Then it will be said: Raise your head, O Muhammad; speak, you will be heard; ask, you will be given; intercede, your intercession will be accepted. So I will raise my head and praise Him with a praise He teaches me, then I will intercede, and He will set a limit for me, and I will admit them to Paradise. Then I will return a second time, and when I see Him, I will fall down in prostration. He will leave me as long as Allah wills to leave me, then it will be said: Raise your head, O Muhammad; speak, you will be heard; ask, you will be given. So I will raise my head and praise Him with a praise He teaches me, then I will intercede, and He will set a limit for me, and I will admit them to Paradise. Then I will return a third time, and when I see my Lord, I will fall down in prostration to Him. He will leave me as long as Allah wills, then it will be said to me: Raise your head, O Muhammad; speak, you will be heard; ask, you will be given; intercede, your intercession will be accepted. So I will raise my head and praise Him with a praise He teaches me, then I will intercede, and He will set a limit for me, and I will admit them to Paradise. Then I will return a fourth time and say: O Lord, none remains except those whom the Quran has held back.'" He said: Qatadah says following this hadith: Anas b. Malik narrated to us that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There will come out of the Fire whoever said: There is no god but Allah and had in his heart the weight of a barley grain of good. There will come out of the Fire whoever said: There is no god but Allah and had in his heart the weight of a wheat grain of good. There will come out of the Fire whoever had in his heart the weight of a speck of good."
